Every endeavour will be made to keep to the time and routes as set out in the timetable. However, no responsibility is accepted for any loss or expense incurred by any person because of delay or irregularity which may occur for any reason whatsoever.
We consistently get significant amounts of lost property handed into our office so please pop into the depot on Princes St or call us on 03 477 2224 to see if something you believe you lost on a PT Citibus vehicle has been handed in. PT Citibus will keep any loss property found on the bus for a three month period. All unclaimed property still held at the end of this period will be donated to charity. Passengers are also advised to phone the local police station to report any lost property in case it has been stolen and is not returned to the PT Citibus depot.
All routes except the ones listed below run a full compliment of wheelchair accessible buses.
The majority of buses on the routes named above are wheelchair accessible but not all. Please call 03 477 5577 (Option 2) to find out if a bus leaving at a particular time on these routes is a ‘Low Floor’ bus and therefore wheelchair accessible.
PT Citibus' ‘Low Floor’ urban buses enable all customers including people with prams / strollers, assistance dogs and people with other mobility impairments to get on and off easily.
If you are not in school uniform you will need to carry your school issued identification card in order to receive a child fare. If you do not have it with you the driver will charge you an adult fare.
No other forms of ID will be accepted.
PT Citibus welcomes onto “Low Floor’ urban bus fleet all assistance dogs, including guide dogs, hearing dogs, mental health companion dogs and seizure-alert dogs (provided they are clearly identifiable as such). There is no limit on the number of assistance dogs allowed to travel on urban services at any one time as long as there is space and the dogs do not block the aisle.
No pets are allowed on PT Citibus services at any time.
Low floor buses are designed to allow unfolded ‘prams or strollers’ to be stationed in the area designated as ‘wheelchair space’. This is the only area deemed safe for such equipment. If someone in a wheelchair wishes to board and their designated space is already occupied by a pram/stroller and standing passengers, then those standing passengers will be expected to move or indeed asked to move by the driver. Prams and strollers will then need to be repositioned safely within the designated storage area or folded down with the child then placed on the guardian’s lap. Unfolded buggies cannot travel in the central walkway.
Passengers/guardians are responsible for making sure infants are seated safely on their laps and, if desired, providing their own infant seat.
Large items of sports gear, e.g. snowboards, surf boards, body boards or bicycles are not allowed on PT Citibus services at any time. For any other items it is at the driver’s discretion whether or not they are allowed onto the bus.
Food and drink are not to be consumed on the bus.
Loud music, excessive noise or disturbing behaviour will not be tolerated on any PT Citibus service. Drivers, at their discretion, may ask any passenger(s) creating such a disturbance to exit the bus at any time. Refusal to do so will result in the police being contacted immediately.
